Thanks to everyone who participated in our EYC Sandwich Sunday--from packing lunches to writing encouraging notes. You did an awesome job, and I know that the Faith Cafe community is very thankful :). Pictures below!

No EYC THIS Sunday (January 28th)!

Are you ready for some football?! NEXT Sunday (February 4th), join us for our Super Bowl EYC--from 4:30-6 p.m. in Discovery House! Super Bowl Kickoff is at 6:30 p.m., so you won't miss a minute of the big game. Come dressed in your favorite jersey (extra points for accessories or painted faces!)--for fun games, food, and a discussion on succeeding in the Game of Life!

I'm excited--can you tell :)?

The St John's EYC Mission Trip to Chattanooga (June 2-9) is officially full, with 13 Youth signed up! If you are still interested in participating, we are starting a waiting list. The 1st Mission Trip payment (after the initial deposit) is due by February 11th! 

Do you need service hours? We have a few EYC Service opportunities coming up! First, on Sunday, February 11th we will need help from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. with Childrens' games/activities during the St John's Annual Meeting!

Also--save the date for St John's Vacation Bible School (June 18-22)! This year's theme is Shipwrecked!

New Beginnings #63 Middle School Retreat will be held at Dayspring Conference Center on March 2-4, 2018! New Beginnings is an awesome weekend geared especially for 6th-8th graders--using songs, skits, and small group discussions to address some meaningful topics. Here's a quick video from New Beginnings in the Diocese of Florida (some things may be different, but you'll get the idea):

You can get more info on New Beginnings here, and you can sign up for the weekend here! The deadline to sign up is Friday, February 16th. I am planning to work New Beginnings as an Adult Sponsor, so I will be there with the Youth on the weekend.

Happening #76 (a High School Retreat) will be March 16-18 at DaySpring Conference Center! Get more info here, or sign up here! The cost is $100 per person (scholarships available), and the deadline to sign up is March 2nd!

Winter Jam Concert!

Welcome Back!

THIS Saturday (January 13th) from 3-10 p.m. (with some "tailgating" and games while we wait), St John's EYC is going to see the Winter Jam Tour at the Amalie Arena! The concert features artists such as Skillet, NewSong, and comedian John Crist! Tickets are $15, friends are welcome to join us--you can get more info about Winter Jam here!

Signups for our EYC Summer Mission Trip (June 2-9 to Chattanooga) are open until THIS Sunday (January 14th)--and we're about halfway full so far! The Mission Trip cost is $550 per person (scholarships are available). Here's our Mission Trip Preview video:

We will be serving in Chattanooga at Rec Centers, Nursing Homes, Food Banks, and/or Parks. Our free days will include an Atlanta Braves game, Whitewater Rafting, and spending the night in a cave! Please let me know if you have any questions/concerns--sign up TODAY!

NEXT Sunday (1/21), our EYC event will be sponsoring St John's Sandwich Sunday--making sandwiches from 10:30 a.m.-11:15 a.m. that morning in the Parish Hall! In order to personalize our service, we'd like to include personalized notes from the youth group in the lunch bags. Since we didn't have time on Sunday, I'd like for each Youth to write 4-5 small notes (1/4 of a sheet) at home to bring/include on Sandwich Sunday. Please let me know if you need paper/resources!
